DEFAULT HERO 3 stuff goes in here[]

Tier three characters start at Level 40 and max up to Level 165 as they are upgraded... Currently, these comprise 28 of the 98 individual character pages.

following characters are still missing basic skills/hp/information:

Trivia[]

Using the chart/s below, if you receive a character and want to evolve it up using gold coins - then the cumulative costs are:

  • from 40-42 to 44-50 only requires 550 Coins [gold] Currency-coins (and 1,625 Dilithium [purple] Currency-dilithiums)...
  • from level-50 (maxTier_1) to the next-plateau at level-96 (maxTier_2) breaks out as follows:
    • from 44-50 (NOT 50-58) tier, it requires an additional 3,100 Coins [gold] Currency-coins and 39,675 Dilithium [purple] Currency-dilithiums...
    • usually, it is easier/more-convenient to spend the first 350-coins before accumulating the remaining 2750...
    • random comments about sorting the possibly long-list of crew (if you have purchased enough slots to hold them)...
      • since ALL characters have a stopping-point at level-50, it can be a bit tricky to see them sorted in a way that makes-sense...
      • since the crew is sorted by level, i find it easier to evolve both T2 and T3 crew once more beyond maxTier_1 into the 50-58 evolution...
      • this allows T3 crew to be upgraded to level-53 (for example) so they stand-out among any T1 or T2 crew that is stuck at level-50...
      • also, i can upgrade T2 crew to level-52 (for example) so they also stand-out beyond the T1 crew that is stuck at level-50...
      • however, once upgraded completely for evolution-9, any T3 crew are easy to track because they are at level-96, rather than the actual maxTier_2 (for T2 crew) of level-95...
  • this brings us to the final evolution/upgrade sequence for maxTier_3...
    • personally, i find it more-useful to complete the evolutions (without spending the dilithium to upgrade to the higher-levels) first...
    • now, a typical yellow-pack for T3 costs 4,800 Coins [gold] Currency-coins (or sometimes 5200) and yields 3 to 4 direct upgrades as well as some other-possible-upgrades...
    • alternatively, including the upgrade to get to the 96-104 tier, it would cost an additional 6,300 Coins [gold] Currency-coins and 158,700 Dilithium [purple] Currency-dilithiums... (can reduce by 3150 xtals if go up-by-ones)...

Skills Updates (Costs)[]

Tier-3 characters can eventually upgrade all-15 of their possible skills. There are two natural stages of upgrades. The first stage is at Level 50, and happens after only 3 evolutions. The second stage is at Level 95, and happens after 9 (not 10) upgrades. Technically, the 9th evolution goes up to Level 96 but we can assume that these two levels (95 and 96) are the same for effective battles between items. To be clear, the Category will be called Category:Level95 even if the Tier-3 character will have its data from level-96... Overall, there is still the element of choice involved for these first few upgrades.

Show/Hide Selling Tier 3 character early

The selling price starts at 250 xtals and increments by 250 for each level of upgrade... Besides just selling at 250 when you have an extra character, there is probably a way to maximize-profit by upgrading a set number of times. To be fair, I have not yet received enough Level-3 characters to have ever actually had occasion to sell one... However, for the sake of argument - we can analyze:

  • Assuming we have only one spare tier-3 character...
    • Selling outright nets 250 xtals pure profit
    • Upgrading twice to level 42 costs 125, but selling yields 750, for net of 625 profit
  • Assuming we have two spares of the same tier-3 character...
    • Selling outright nets 500 xtals pure profit
    • Upgrading one spare to level 42 and then selling it (for each one) nets 1250 profit - assuming you do not want to keep the tier-3 character in your inventory at all...
    • Upgrading the first spare to level 42, then evolving it using the second spare, and then upgrading it to level 44, will yield: cost 350, sale 1250, net profit 900... this is less profit than doing them separately yielded.
    • Upgrading one spare to level 42 then using 250-gold and upgrading to level 44 would yield 1250-225=1025 xtals and 250-gold... doing this twice (per-char) yields 2050 xtals profit (or conversion of 500-gold)... xtals are MUCH cheaper to reap than gold, so this will not be a useful return-on-investment either...
  • Assuming we have three spares...
    • Selling outright nets 750
    • Upgrading each to 42 and selling nets 1875 profit (BEST-CASE-HERE)
    • Upgrading one to 42, evolving, upgrading to 44, evolving, and then upgrading to 47 would cost (1625-750 = 875), while the sale gives 2000, yielding 1125 profit.
    • Overall the diminishing returns aspect seems to show that evolving is not worth it, especially if you plan to sell anyway - similar to the tier-2 case...

Again, it is unlikely that a person would have over 15 Tier-3 characters to try this experiment with. Otherwise, for battle and inventory uses, it is better to have a fully-evolved and upgraded Tier-3 character (at level 165) than it would be to just be trying to sell for the minor crystals gains involved. OTOH, i have seen one player online who had two Tier-3 characters of the same name (different ranks, but one fully-evolved and upgraded) so i guess it is/was possible... Also, i believe the rules of the game (now) do not allow a person to have two-copies of the same character in your inventory - hence the choices involved with Tier-1 characters.
